What you should know before you apply

You need to be quite active on dA and in the chat .. to be considered for a Moderator position ( this does not mean you have to live there.. but if you are logged into dA you should be in the chat helping/ not just idling)

What does helping mean? It means you are there to keep the chat active.. you participate in discussions.. you welcome new guests .. you encourage people to show thumbs .. you answer any questions people have ( not everyone new uses nickcomplete .. so you have to watch to see if someone needs help .. they may not ask someone directly ) if the chat is idle you don't give up and leave .. you try to start a conversation and if that doesn't work .. you keep an eye on the chat for when people become active .. I know this sounds like alot but this is what we are looking for .. If I can do it .. anyone can

As Moderator you will have certain bot access ( when the bot is up and running again ) .. including terms .. make yourself familiar with them and when to use them

Chat rules are there for a reason .. PLEASE make yourself familiar with ALL the rules .. and enforce them when needed.. Moderators for the chat need to be aware of all rules/FAQ's

Moderators should be able to treat everyone equal .. and not bring any personal problems with other chatters into the chat .. if you have a problem with someone it needs to be settled elsewhere.. do not use abuse your authority in the chat .. if you are annoyed easily then this is probably not the job for you

To apply for a Moderator position .. please send a note entitled "Moderator" to FeatureShare .. We are always watching those people in the chat who are friendly .. helpful and active .. If this is not you .. please don't apply .. we have had too many people promoted to Moderator positions .. and then not be active once they are Mods .. We need people who are here for the long term

Name /Age/ how frequently you are on dA .. and what qualifications you have .. including if you are admin of any clubs/staff on any other chats .. should all be included in the note .. also include what time zone you are in and what times you are most frequently online

Don't get discouraged if someone other than you gets promoted .. this does not mean we don't like you and you don't have a chance .. please be patient .. we're always watching to see who is active and who is not
